Edsleskogs Wärdshus is a small and familiar Guesthouse situated in the northern part of Dalsland between Åmål and Bengtsfors. It has 10 nice rooms, of which 7 are dubble-rooms and 3 family-rooms, a diningroom, a cosey corner around the fire place, a beautiful garden and a terrass with a magnificient view over Lake Edslan towards the hills of Baljåsen, the highest point in Dalsland. The kitchen offers Swedish pancakes at lunchtime, high tea and sandwiches in the afternoon and nice familiar dinners. All ingredients are from the beautiful Dalsland province.

The pilgrim road between the Nidaros cathedral and the southern parts of Sweden goes through Edsleskog and brings many hikers and backpackers to the area. In the nearby Edsleskog Prästgård, which was earlier the vicar´s home, you will find a small historical museum. There are many outdoor activities to chose from, canoeing, swimming, hiking and cycling on rails on inspection trolleys.

Lästvik is an old family farm beautifully situated on a hill with a view over lake Iväg. The artist Stig Nelson, who has a few drops of Crow Indian blood in his veins, has created a beautiful cottage for rent, Villa Nelson. The house was built by the owner Birgitt Hansson´s great grandfather´s brother, who were influenced in his building technique by his years as a carpenter in America.  The house is now changed into a unique residence for two people. In Villa Nelson, Stig Nelson has created an Indian Wall. It creates the feeling of living in a sculpture. The house is available for Bed&Breakfast or self catering.

Stay for a few days on a farm with many different animals and many interesting things to experience. The farm has five rooms for Bed&Breakfast. Baldersnäs Manor House was built in 1796, located on a peninsula in the lake Laxsjön. On the ground there was already an old farm called Ballnäs, belonging to one of the ironworks at the lake. The iron ore came from the area of Bergslagen and was transported over the lake Vänern to reach the ironworks in Dalsland.

Baldersnäs Restaurant has a famous reputation for serving delicious food. Every day at lunch time you can choose between several dishes and at dinner the menu is complete and impressing. Especially in the autumn there are many choices of moose and deer from local hunting, served with local ingredients. Some of the spices are grown in the garden, with care. The wine cellar can offer a wide range of excellent wines, all selected to very well harmonize with the food.
If you wish to stay over night, you are most welcome. The rooms are luxury in a modern way and they all got a marvellous view of the park. You can choose between the Manor House and the Annex.  It is nice to take a rest and relax in such a silent and refreshing place!
